Job Description:
Compuscan, an African Continent credit bureau providing credit risk information and technology solutions is seeking to appoint a Business Development Manager in Windhoek, Namibia.

Key Requirements:
Excellent communicator – verbal and written
Able to demonstrate superior sales skills and related proficiencies
5 years’ experience in client management, new business development and corporate sales
3 years’ experience in a managerial/team leader role
Previous experience in managing full P&L and overseeing operations will be advantageous
Experience in the following industries will be advantageous; Financial; IT solutions; Insurance; Banking; Risk; Data Driven Solution Providers
Candidate must be prepared to travel 2-3 weeks per month locally by road (approx. 2000 km’s/month) and at least quarterly to South Africa for training, and head office meetings from time to time.

Key Performance Areas:
Manage the marketing and sales initiatives of assigned key accounts & retain portfolios
Aggressively drive market share growth and revenue. Identify areas of opportunity where Compuscan has the ability to build market share and cross/up sell opportunities.
Achieve/exceed set targets and objectives through the successful implementation of core and value add solutions.
Develop and implement strategic sales plans, directing sales forecasting activities and setting performance goals accordingly. Formulate plans, policies, and objectives to expand market share in existing markets and penetrate new markets in the promotion and attainment of new business.
Review market analyses to determine client needs, price schedules, and ability to bundle products and solutions in a way that adds value to clients.
Manage and optimise client accounts through scheduling client insight sessions to understand client needs, their focus areas and strategy. (Regular face to face meetings, telephone and e-mail communication)
Responding to this by prioritising solutions to present to clients that are professionally packaged, ensuring relevance to the clients’ business.
Promptly identify and resolve problems that directly impact on the client / Compuscan relationship
Producing monthly reports
Ensure account plans for all clients are updated
Approving change orders and invoices, and responsible for payment collections
