Compuscan has achieved significant goals as a front runner in the microfinance and credit industry and has reached many milestones along its journey to success.
In 1994, Remo Lenisa started a local credit bureau for consumer data, called Compuscan, since then, the CSH Group has grown from strength to strength over the years, to become the global company it is today.
The bureau was founded upon a base of market related knowledge and experience – a solid foundation upon which its subsequent success has been built. The founders had gained a deep understanding of customers’ requirements and the most suitable solutions to meet their needs through ownership of their own microlending establishments. Having dealt with clients who did not repay loans, some of whom were untraceable, the need was quickly identified to share consumer credit information with other microlenders – and thus the vision of Compuscan was born. The sharing of credit information introduced a means for microlenders to avoid financial loss by identifying clients’ repayment probability before issuing a loan and registering the loan on a national database.
